Humor’s a Big Winner in Boomerrrang
The photo is my guest talk at Westminster Unitarian before 3 realtor groups.
I’ve been out there, talking up my new book, Boomerrrang, and in all my talks, there’s great interest. People tell me they LOVE the humor. (See the reviews of “Boomerrrang: The Amazing Journey…” on Amazon.) I’m thrilled they’re enjoying my guest-speaking, because what I’m saying is important…not for me–but for them, whether a relator’s clients will go on this journey to a new region..whether they’ll be buying or selling a home. A side message in my book is the importance of self-advocacy–because that’s a theme throughout…standing up for yourself…showing how to protect yourself in a crisis.
Boomerrrang’ is the story of my husband’s and my choice of a perfect retirement location, the pitfalls we avoided, the adventures in our new region and the life-changing event that upended our lives. This all culminated in our coming back (bommerang-ing back) to Rhode Island, where I was raised and where he’d been a Rhode Islander since he was assigned to Quonset Pt., RI, as a Seabee, when he was 20.
My guest speaking, above, was sponsored by Broker-Owners Dave Iannuccilli of ReMax Professionals, Allen Gammons of Berkshire-Hathaway, and Greg Dantas, of RI Real Estate Services, all in East Greenwich, RI., giving my audience valuable tips on downsizing, buying and selling a home and/or condominium. I wrap my messages in my trademark humor…LOTS of humor.
